Returns & Refunds Policy

1. General Information

We want our customers to be satisfied. If you wish to return an item, please read the following carefully. This policy applies to purchases made via our online shops and marketplaces (eg, Shopify, eBay, etc.).

Important: We primarily sell used auto parts . Such parts may show signs of previous use (scratches, wear, cosmetic imperfections), which are not grounds for return or refund.

2. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

  • Consumers in the European Union have a legal right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 calendar days without giving any reason.
  • The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you (or a person you designated) received the goods.

How to exercise this right:

  • You must notify us in writing (email is sufficient) within the withdrawal period.
  • You then have another 14 days to return the goods.

3. Conditions of Return

  • Returned goods must be in the same condition as received, including all parts, packaging, and documentation.
  • Parts must not have been installed, tested on a vehicle, modified, or tampered with. Once a part has been installed, it cannot be returned.
  • Goods that are damaged during installation or due to improper handling may be refused or subject to a reduction in refund value.
  • The following items cannot be returned:
    • Custom-made or special-order items
    • Electronic/electrical components once connected/installed
    • Perishable or consumable goods (eg fluids, filters)
    • Items that, for hygiene or safety reasons, cannot be returned once opened

4. Return Costs

  • The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
  • If goods are faulty or incorrectly delivered, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.

5. Refunds

  • Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or proof of return shipment).
  • Refunds are made to the original payment method only.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable, except when the entire order is returned under the EU right of withdrawal.
  • Refunds are processed according to the Dutch margin scheme (Art. 28b Wet OB 1968). VAT is not shown separately and is not refundable.

6. Faulty or Damaged Goods

  • If you receive an item that is defective or damaged on arrival, please notify us immediately with photos.
  • Note: Normal signs of wear and use on second-hand auto parts are not considered defects.
  • We will offer, at our discretion:
    • Replacement (if stock is available)
    • Partial refund
    • Full refund (including return shipping)

7. Return Procedure

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us at contact@auto-veritas.com with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We will provide return instructions and, where applicable, a return label.
  3. Ship the item securely packaged, using a trackable shipping method.

8. Non-Collection or Refused Deliveries

If a shipment is returned to us due to refusal, non-collection, or an incorrect delivery address, the buyer remains responsible for:

  • Original shipping charges
  • Return shipping charges
  • Any re-shipping fees (if redelivery is requested)

9. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to process returns and refunds caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or carrier disruptions.
